Spain: Thousands watch Catalonia's HUMAN TOWERS of independence

Ruptly TV | Oct 5, 2014

Over 13,000 people gathered at the Tàrraco Arena Plaza in Tarragona to compete in the traditional 'Castells' contest on Sunday.

Catalan President Artur Mas attended the show and said that Madrid's suspension of the planned vote on independence was because the Spanish government "does not want to."

Tarragona celebrates the tradition of the 'castells' by creating human towers up to a height of between six and ten tiers.
