Conscience Equality: Scotland Decision - What independence will offer Scotland

Press TV | Sep 17, 2014

Some proponents of Scottish independence say that independence would not go far enough.

Some pundits say that in a bid to get a “yes” vote, First Minister Alex Salmond deliberately didn’t go for “full blown independence” so that he could court the “undecided” voters and not scare those who might otherwise vote “no.”

The Scottish National Party, on the other hand, says that it will offer “real” independence and Scotland will gradually extricate itself from London’s domestic and foreign policies, while delivering immediate benefits such as getting rid of nuclear weapons and taking control of North Sea Oil.
