Demonstrators, including supporters of the Anonymous movement, are holding a rally at the White House to protest various US government activities including spying on Americans by the National Security Agency.

The demonstration, part of a Million Mask March, is held in protest against corrupt governments and corporations in front of the White House in Washington, DC. Similar rallies are held around the world.

American protesters were chanting "No justice, No Peace" and "Obama come out, we got something to talk about."

US Park Police arrested at least one protestor during the protest. The arrest was made just outside the White House.

The organizers of the global march say they are protesting against the rule of greedy corporations and corrupt governments around the world.

Organizers have set up pages on social media networks in the United States, Britain, Mexico, Italy, Ireland, Canada, Serbia, and many other countries.

In the US, event organizers planned to meet up at the Washington Monument at the National Mall and rally towards Lafayette Park. According to the group's Facebook page, over 17,000 people said they would take part in the event.

The rally brought together people who support Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Pirate Party, the Occupy movement and other groups seeking social justice.

Tweets are pouring in about what is happening at the rally. Occupied Air@Occupied_Air 2h says "1st arrests happening at White House demonstration."

Anonymous@YourAnonCentral says "Anons continue to engage in White House civil disobedience, undeterred by provocation of arrest." And Anonymous@Anonycast 1h tweets said, "Anonymous has completely taken over Pennsylvania Ave."
