Let the wolves know that in our tribe
If the father dies, his gun will remain
Even if all the men of the tribe are killed
Our son will remain.
Leave the silver bullet in my heart,
fall to prayer in my blood,
and hush, my father
--I am not dead.
More light than mass,
I rise through you,
breathe with your eyes,
stand in your shoes, on the rooftops,
in the streets, march with you
in the cities and villages of our country
shouting through you, with
you.
I am thunder on your tongue.
To slaughter us
Why did you need to invite us
To such an inelegant party
En Garde motherfucker, the tide is rising

9 Ways The Bankster Occupied U.S. Government Is Waging War Against America

9 Ways The Bankster Occupied U.S. Government Is Waging War Against America by Saman Mohammadi

Part I: 9 Ways The Hijacked Federal Government Is Waging War Against The American People.

Part II: 9 More Ways The U.S. Government Is Waging War Against America.

1. Ideology.

There is a dictatorship of the mind and spirit in America. The official ideology of the U.S. totalitarian state is counter-terrorism and national security. All domestic and foreign crimes are justified under the umbrella of security and defense. The false flag September 11 attacks served as the catalyst that brought this totalitarian ideology into being on a world stage.

The attacks also had the effect of putting the American people into a psychological state of subservience towards the government and power elite. As a result, the free will of the American people has been destroyed. The minds of the people are directed at non-existent terrorists like Al Qaeda and non-threatening countries like Iraq and Iran for one single purpose: to generate insecurity in the individual so that he/she supports the false and permanent war on terror.

Hans Barth wrote in his 1939 essay called, "Reality and Ideology of the Totalitarian State," that, "a people completely unified by a totalitarian policy and wholly integrated as a spiritual body, thus offering a foundation for a totalitarian state, is nothing but a flexible instrument for the use of the commander-in-chief in the pursuit of the totalitarian war," (Barth (1939); The Review of Politics, Volume 1, Issue 03, Pg. 275-306).

The voice of dissent and 9/11 truth is the only way to break the totalitarian conditioning of the American people and the people of other Western countries.

2. Paradigm.

What exists in Washington is one party dictatorship with two political factions. Super committee or no super committee, republican or democrat, the will of the power elite will prevail over the will of the people under the current system.

The false left-right political paradigm enables the power elite to remain in control and continue to loot America without being discovered as the real enemy of the American people.

The one party dictatorship also means that there is no accountability for the political leadership. Both Republicans and Democrats have stabbed America in the back. This political fact has led to the collapse of the American people's trust in the federal government and Congress.

What lies ahead is social unrest, political collapse, and revolution.

3. Militarization.

Militarized cities are occupied cities.

Urban space is regulated by the hijacked government not to defend the interests of the public but to acquire greater power for the treasonous elite and suppress patriotic dissent.

Essentially, the power elite have turned public space into an urban war zone. An atmosphere of war is created in the public mind, giving the mentally occupied individual two choices: either side with the loving and protective government, or the dangerous and scary domestic terrorists.

Stephen Graham, author of "Cities Under Siege: The New Military Urbanism," said in a recent interview on Democracy Now about the militarization of the police and the violent government reaction to anti-Wall Street protesters:
Well, there’s been a longstanding shift in North America and Europe towards paramilitarized policing, using helicopter-style systems, using infrared sensing, using really, really heavy militarized weaponry. That’s been longstanding, fueled by the war on drugs and other sort of explicit campaigns. But more recently, there’s been a big push since the end of the Cold War by the big defense and security and IT companies to sell things like video surveillance systems, things like geographic mapping systems, and even more recently, drone systems, that have been used in the assassination raids in Afghanistan and in Pakistan and elsewhere, as sort of a domestic policing technology. It’s basically a really big, booming market, particularly in a world where surveillance and security is being integrated into buildings, into cities, into transport systems, on the back of the war on terror.
Will Grigg, author of "Liberty in Eclipse," has written about the militarization of the police in America for a number of years. In an interview with Scott Horton of Antiwar Radio on November 22, Grigg said:
"With respect to where we are now with the crackdown on Occupy Wall Street, take a look at the way the enforcers are garbed, take a look at the techniques they use. We're living in what is essentially a prison society."
In the prison society that Grigg talks about, the police officer is a guard and the citizen is an inmate who is considered guilty and a potential violent threat to the state. The rule of law is not defended. Instead, police officers are brainwashed and used to rape the public in the name of security.

4. Culture.

The manipulation of mass culture by the elite is part of a larger war against the mental integrity of the individual and the free will of the people. The whole edifice of mainstream culture in the West is designed to control thought and speech. As Terence McKenna said, "Culture is not your friend . . .It insults you, it disempowers you, it uses and abuses you. None of us are well treated by culture. And yet we glorify the creative potential of the individual, the rights of the individual. We understand the felt-presence of experience is what is most important. But the culture is a perversion."

The culture that is being produced creatively by the alternative media, underground music, and other cultural avenues is countering the official totalitarian culture that is handed down by authoritarian governments, corporate elites, and the treasonous media. The harm that the official culture is doing to the average individual cannot be overstated. State propaganda and predictive programming techniques are regularly used in T.V. programming and films to control behavior and thoughts. People have been turned into animals under this psychological prison system.

The most important element of culture is storytelling. Stories connect us with our past, inform our present actions, and point the way towards the future.

In America, the power of storytelling has been hijacked and misused by the controllers of the U.S. government to indoctrinate the people of the world and destroy freedom of thought. The assassination of JFK and the terrorist attacks on 9/11 have overturned the American constitutional system of government, as well as other Western democratic governments, but the official stories about these events that are told in mainstream culture hide the true nature of these evil crimes.

5. Drugs.

Pharmaceutical drugs are promoted and sold by the government and television, but natural drugs are suppressed and persecuted. Many of these natural drugs have the effect of opening the individual's minds to amazing experiences and new conceptions of life and the universe.

The mind is liberated from the routine of everyday life and everyday thoughts when natural drugs like mushrooms are taken, and this experience has political implications, as McKenna said. When people start seeing the world in a different light they don't go back to believing in the fictions and fantasies of the mainstream matrix. The road to intellectual discovery opens up, and the individual begins to search for answers to both personal and political questions.

6. Fear.

Creating fear and chaos is the modus operandi of the U.S. shadow totalitarian state, and of all totalitarian states. Fear is the blood that keeps the fascist state going. The governments of Iran and Israel use the same political playbook against their citizens as the hijacked American government.

Keeping the people in a state of fear and mental insecurity enables political leaders and the criminal power elite to remain in a dominant position in society.

The pumping up of external enemies is the best way to keep the people submissive and scared. But enemies don't fall out of the sky. Enemies in modern totalitarian nations like Iran and America are made by political elites who painstakingly design a propaganda-oriented society that is constantly fed lies and disinformation.

Propaganda, however, is not enough to generate fear about an outside enemy. The manufacturing of dramatic events like the 9/11 attacks, 7/7 attacks, and the Iranian hostage crisis are necessary to create the image of the external enemy in the public mind of a nation.

There is nothing like drama and fear. 9/11 showed that slow-moving societies need explosive and dramatic acts of murder if they are to be moved in a certain direction by political elites in a short period of time. Without drama, without blood, without fear, without murder, without creating a public spectacle, elites cannot attain their dreams of war and revolution.

Fear shuts down critical thinking and makes people even more stupid than they already are, which is why the religious zealots in Iran and the globalist terrorists in the West both use fear as a political tool.

7. Language.

"Presidential power is the power to persuade." – Richard Neustadt
"When the president speaks, he governs." – Sandra Silberstein
"Language is apparently a sword which cuts both ways. With its help man can conquer the unknown; with it he can grievously wound himself." - Stuart Chase
In a democratic society, citizens use language to define collective priorities and interests, but in the current totalitarian hell that we live in the collective use of language has been hijacked by private interests in the pursuit of private ends.
The Western shadow states and establishment media are misusing language to suppress thought, control the political conservation about 9/11 and the war on terror, and alter cultural beliefs about the freedom of the individual.
The thought police in the totalitarian state love the magic of words because it can shape public perceptions about major events, political figures, and dissidents.
I am fascinated by the power of words. With one simple line, astronaut Neil Armstrong marked the official beginning of the space age. A couple of political slogans helped an inexperienced state senator from Illinois become the President of the United States.
McKenna said that language creates reality. This happened in the immediate hours and days after the 9/11 attacks, when American and Israeli politicians, "journalists," and national security experts went on television and used the power of the global communication system to put out the false narrative that Al-Qaeda was responsible for the terrorist act.

I was too young to remember what was said in television news reports and newspapers, but I've seen many video clips on the Internet of news anchors and special guests speaking on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CBC, BBC, and other news networks about the significance of the attacks. It is clear that the Zionist criminals, Neocon terrorists and shadow CIA traitors were not wasting any time. They seized the day on 9/11. It was the opportunity of a lifetime for any fascist and totalitarian leader.

Three thousand dead innocent Americans, New York City's skyline destroyed, the Pentagon attacked -- these dramatic pictures were created and politically exploited by the merchants of death in D.C. and Israel -- but pictures are not enough in a time of crisis -- words are also needed.

9/11 Commission director Philip Zelikow spelled it out in a lecture in Houston earlier this month called, "The Twilight of War." Zelikow said: "It’s my job to make meaning of 9/11." This lowlife also said that the CIA manufactured Al-Qaeda "is the enemy," and that they "are an unslayable power." LOL. This traitor relishes his role as the destroyer of America and the bringer of death and pain. He likes the thought of sending the shining knights in the American military to slay fabricated dragons abroad. It gives him something to do. The snake-like teller of lies is his station in life. He couldn't be a doctor, an architect, or a taxi driver, so he settled for being a war criminal.

8. Stigma.

The power of social stigma, shame, and ridicule cannot be overstated. Society is governed in this matter by criminal rulers who don't like to use force to dominate the people and keep their privileges.

In totalitarian societies, truth-tellers are treated like outcasts and driven outside of the community while the biggest liars and mass murderers lead the nation. This is the case in America, Iran, Israel, England, and many other countries.

America and Iran became full-scale totalitarian nations in the 1980s, when Reagan and Khomeini, two power-craving traitors, came to dominate the political scene in both countries thanks to much larger forces that put them in power.

Instead of being shamed for using violent rhetoric, attaining power illegally, and sponsoring backdoor arms deals, Khomeini and Reagan were glorified and raised to the status of heroes.

Both totalitarian leaders molded themselves as "revolutionaries" but they were not revolutionaries. They were destroyers and traitors. Khomeini followed the orders of his masters and destroyed Iran. And Reagan did the same to America, with Bush standing right beside him to make sure he didn't suddenly have a change of heart about committing treason against America.

Even today these two puppets are seen in a heroic light. The statues of Reagan and Khomeini are embraced as god-like by their deluded and brainwashed cult followers.

In a just world, unjust men like Khomeini, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Cheney, Bush II, and Obama would not just be shamed, but hanged, and buried in the sea.

But the reverse is happening.

Murderers and traitors like Reagan, Khomeini, Bush, and Obama are called saviors of the nation and defenders of freedom, while real heroes are shamed and ridiculed as "paranoid conspiracy theorists," and "domestic terrorists."

Millions of truth-tellers in America and the West are silenced and stigmatized. In Iran they are tortured and murdered.

Ron Paul is stigmatized as "loony" for advocating freedom in America and peace in the Middle East, but the sociopathic madmen who hijacked the Republican party and call for total world war are given the most media attention.

The weapon of social stigma as wielded by the establishment media can make people not listen to the wise Ron Paul, but instead, make them blindly follow psychopathic leaders like Barack Obama and his Republican foes to the point of complete destruction.

9. Secrecy.

"We have a system of runaway secrecy," said historian and author Richard Dolan in his lecture about the U.S. government's cover-up of UFOs in April 2011 in Amsterdam called, "Secret Space Program And Breakaway Civilization."

The secrecy of the hijacked U.S. government is its essential feature. Almost every public statement and public policy initiative is meant for global public consumption. I wrote an article in June that contained a quote from a U.S. government official named Edmond Taylor who said that U.S. government policy has two levels, "the esoteric and the exoteric."

The esoteric side is guarded from the American public, low-level government employees, and even high-ranking military and intelligence officials.

The power of the secret and informal government in Washington is beyond imagination. Dolan says the secret-holders have become a "breakaway civilization."

Over the decades, the secret-holders and power elite have broken their psychological ties to regular reality. Their emotional separation with the people of the world is total and complete. They do not consider themselves as part of our world.

Cutting political ties with the American constitutional government and Western democracies is the next step. And they have been very busy building a global fascist government in the shadows so this step is not as difficult as it was in the past.

The Shocking Truth About the Crackdown on Occupy by Naomi Wolf

US citizens of all political persuasions are still reeling from images of unparallelled police brutality in a coordinated crackdown against peaceful OWS protesters in cities across the nation this past week. An elderly woman was pepper-sprayed in the face; the scene of unresisting, supine students at UC Davis being pepper-sprayed by phalanxes of riot police went viral online; images proliferated of young women - targeted seemingly for their gender - screaming, dragged by the hair by police in riot gear; and the pictures of a young man, stunned and bleeding profusely from the head, emerged in the record of the middle-of-the-night clearing of Zuccotti Park.

But just when Americans thought we had the picture - was this crazy police and mayoral overkill, on a municipal level, in many different cities? - the picture darkened. The National Union of Journalists and the Committee to Protect Journalists issued a Freedom of Information Act request to investigate possible federal involvement with law enforcement practices that appeared to target journalists. The New York Times reported that "New York cops have arrested, punched, whacked, shoved to the ground and tossed a barrier at reporters and photographers" covering protests. Reporters were asked by NYPD to raise their hands to prove they had credentials: when many dutifully did so, they were taken, upon threat of arrest, away from the story they were covering, and penned far from the site in which the news was unfolding. Other reporters wearing press passes were arrested and roughed up by cops, after being - falsely - informed by police that "It is illegal to take pictures on the sidewalk."

In New York, a state supreme court justice and a New York City council member were beaten up; in Berkeley, California, one of our greatest national poets, Robert Hass, was beaten with batons. The picture darkened still further when Wonkette and Washingtonsblog.com reported that the Mayor of Oakland acknowledged that the Department of Homeland Security had participated in an 18-city mayor conference call advising mayors on "how to suppress" Occupy protests.

To Europeans, the enormity of this breach may not be obvious at first. Our system of government prohibits the creation of a federalised police force, and forbids federal or militarised involvement in municipal peacekeeping.

I noticed that rightwing pundits and politicians on the TV shows on which I was appearing were all on-message against OWS. Journalist Chris Hayes reported on a leaked memo that revealed lobbyists vying for an $850,000 contract to smear Occupy. Message coordination of this kind is impossible without a full-court press at the top. This was clearly not simply a case of a freaked-out mayors', city-by-city municipal overreaction against mess in the parks and cranky campers. As the puzzle pieces fit together, they began to show coordination against OWS at the highest national levels.

Why this massive mobilisation against these not-yet-fully-articulated, unarmed, inchoate people? After all, protesters against the war in Iraq, Tea Party rallies and others have all proceeded without this coordinated crackdown. Is it really the camping? As I write, two hundred young people, with sleeping bags, suitcases and even folding chairs, are still camping out all night and day outside of NBC on public sidewalks - under the benevolent eye of an NYPD cop - awaiting Saturday Night Live tickets, so surely the camping is not the issue. I was still deeply puzzled as to why OWS, this hapless, hopeful band, would call out a violent federal response.

That is, until I found out what it was that OWS actually wanted.

The mainstream media was declaring continually "OWS has no message". Frustrated, I simply asked them. I began soliciting online "What is it you want?" answers from Occupy. In the first 15 minutes, I received 100 answers. These were truly eye-opening.

The No 1 agenda item: get the money out of politics. Most often cited was legislation to blunt the effect of the Citizens United ruling, which lets boundless sums enter the campaign process. No 2: reform the banking system to prevent fraud and manipulation, with the most frequent item being to restore the Glass-Steagall Act - the Depression-era law, done away with by President Clinton, that separates investment banks from commercial banks. This law would correct the conditions for the recent crisis, as investment banks could not take risks for profit that create kale derivatives out of thin air, and wipe out the commercial and savings banks.

No 3 was the most clarifying: draft laws against the little-known loophole that currently allows members of Congress to pass legislation affecting Delaware-based corporations in which they themselves are investors.

When I saw this list - and especially the last agenda item - the scales fell from my eyes. Of course, these unarmed people would be having the shit kicked out of them.

Oakland, California riot police advance on
peaceful Occupy Oakland, November 3, 2011.
For the terrible insight to take away from news that the Department of Homeland Security coordinated a violent crackdown is that the DHS does not freelance. The DHS cannot say, on its own initiative, "we are going after these scruffy hippies". Rather, DHS is answerable up a chain of command: first, to New York Representative Peter King, head of the House homeland security subcommittee, who naturally is influenced by his fellow congressmen and women's wishes and interests. And the DHS answers directly, above King, to the president (who was conveniently in Australia at the time).

In other words, for the DHS to be on a call with mayors, the logic of its chain of command and accountability implies that congressional overseers, with the blessing of the White House, told the DHS to authorise mayors to order their police forces - pumped up with millions of dollars of hardware and training from the DHS - to make war on peaceful citizens.

But wait: why on earth would Congress advise violent militarised reactions against its own peaceful constituents? The answer is straightforward: in recent years, members of Congress have started entering the system as members of the middle class (or upper middle class) - but they are leaving DC privy to vast personal wealth, as we see from the "scandal" of presidential contender Newt Gingrich's having been paid $1.8m for a few hours' "consulting" to special interests. The inflated fees to lawmakers who turn lobbyists are common knowledge, but the notion that congressmen and women are legislating their own companies' profitsis less widely known - and if the books were to be opened, they would surely reveal corruption on a Wall Street spectrum. Indeed, we do already know that congresspeople are massively profiting from trading on non-public information they have on companies about which they are legislating - a form of insider trading that sent Martha Stewart to jail.

Since Occupy is heavily surveilled and infiltrated, it is likely that the DHS and police informers are aware, before Occupy itself is, what its emerging agenda is going to look like. If legislating away lobbyists' privileges to earn boundless fees once they are close to the legislative process, reforming the banks so they can't suck money out of fake derivatives products, and, most critically, opening the books on a system that allowed members of Congress to profit personally - and immensely - from their own legislation, are two beats away from the grasp of an electorally organised Occupy movement ... well, you will call out the troops on stopping that advance.

So, when you connect the dots, properly understood, what happened this week is the first battle in a civil war; a civil war in which, for now, only one side is choosing violence. It is a battle in which members of Congress, with the collusion of the American president, sent violent, organised suppression against the people they are supposed to represent. Occupy has touched the third rail: personal congressional profits streams. Even though they are, as yet, unaware of what the implications of their movement are, those threatened by the stirrings of their dreams of reform are not.

Sadly, Americans this week have come one step closer to being true brothers and sisters of the protesters in Tahrir Square. Like them, our own national leaders, who likely see their own personal wealth under threat from transparency and reform, are now making war upon us.

Five Principles – Occupy Cincinnati

© kypost.com
Five Principles – Occupy Cincinnati by Jim Prues

The Occupy Revolution is clearly a force to be reckoned with in our culture. Even at this early stage the battle lines are being drawn. Many cities are resisting this new people-powered movement, as it feels threatening to status quo politicians and the 1%, so influential in the current political climate. This in spite of the glaring corruption and inequality of the old system.

Disorganized and still finding our footing, we nonetheless have already proven our value. The political discourse is being framed differently, big banks and huge financial entities are beginning to understand that their power may not be limitless. Corporations are learning that their grip on global culture may not be as firm as imagined. Most importantly, we are finding our voices and our power, and connecting in new ways with each passing moment.

Here in Cincinnati, we face challenges similar to other occupations. Our encampment was shut down after two weeks, with 145 citations and over 50 arrests, which led to a Federal lawsuit based on First Amendment rights. Since then we’ve been looking for a new, sustainable encampment, while still carrying out our various processes and actions.

We have had our successes. We targeted four local council members who supported the 1%, all were defeated. We joined with other Occupations in Bank Transfer Day, moving money and staging street theatre. We built an oil derrick to highlight local Senator and Super Committee Member Rob Portman’s unwillingness to rid us of oil and energy subsidies. Yet to me nothing is a greater success than adopting these five principles.

Peace, Love, Equality, Justice and Solidarity. Fine words, every one. And the idea behind each word is tremendously powerful and empowering. These words speak well for us. They create the basis for a system of ethics. Let’s take a moment to consider the implications of holding these principles.

1] An End to War. There can be no war with the principle of peace. It’s antithetical. As Albert Einstein said, “You cannot simultaneously prepare for war and for peace.” Any policies or actions that promote war cannot be condoned by Occupy Cincinnati. Also implied, an end to personal violence. We have far too many situations in the old culture where wounded and fear-driven folks lash out, power trip or otherwise act out in a fashion that is deleterious to human health. We wholeheartedly resist such behaviors.

2] Reversing Globalization. We cannot find these adopted principles in the system of globalization. Designed and built for the profit of the 1%, there is no equality or justice in extractive practices like mining and logging, child and underpaid labor and poorly made products. To honor our principles, we must necessarily extract ourselves from the globalized system to whatever extent we can, starting with spending our money locally and starving behemoths like Walmart.

3] Restoring Communities and Ecosystems. We have no equality when corporations ravage communities and living systems just to make a buck. We have no legal recourse when government sides with corporate interests. With these principles, the Occupation can work to create a generative, rather than extractive culture. Organic food production, sustainable, local energy solutions, community-building and getting involved with local government are all implied in the principles of equality and justice.

4] Reconstituting Government. Federal governments across the globe have proven time and time again where their loyalties lie, and it is not with we, the people. This Occupation must focus on reconstructing governments based on Internet-enabled technologies and human need. The archaic, dysfunctional, corrupt system of government that serves the 1% must be replaced.

This is powerful stuff. Revolutionary stuff. And yes, revolution is what we are about here in the Occupied Territories. Of course, with these principles our efforts mirror the efforts of Gandhi, King and other change agents who refused violence at every turn, and yet created something fundamentally better than the condition that existed previously.

With this worldwide Occupation, we begin to see the scope of what we are about. Creative acts of solidarity, fresh eruptions from the Arab Spring, talk of a constitutional assembly – doesn’t sound much like a fad. It sounds like revolution. But as we are committed to peace, it does not mirror bloody revolutions from the past [can’t speak for agents of the 1%]. It reflects something completely new under the sun, an uprising such as the world has never seen.

I encourage other Occupied Territories to adopt these or similar principles. Such principles form the frame we operate within, the lens through which we apply ourselves. And while we cannot control violence from the state, we can hold to our process and principles, and do all we can to make this R-Evolution as peaceful and agile as possible.

POLICE BRUTALITY AT WALMART IN BUCKEYE, ARIZONA

POLICE BRUTALITY AT WALMART IN BUCKEYE, ARIZONA - CopWatchNews

Police in Buckeye Arizona decided to take extreme action against an elderly man suspected of shoplifting this black friday, November 25th 2011. The man placed two video games he was carrying under his shirt to free his hands because his grandson had been knocked down by a mob of rushing customers. The man was then confronted by police and was cooperating when the arresting officer, a K-9 cop, tripped the man and sent him face first into the hard floor knocking the man unconscious and possibly breaking the mans nose. To top it off they continued to handcuff the elderly unconscious bleeding man. Then the man continues to suffer as the police do not know how to treat the man, it is a full minute before a customer steps forward to help the poor man. It is not clear what injuries the man sustained at this moment.

Legally you are not stealing anything until you have left the store with the questioned item(s). We as American citizens cannot allow things like this to happen. What has happened in America where elderly men are beaten down savagely by police officers and we pay them to do it, all the while, corporate criminal international bankers looting trillions, and bankrupting nations, go unpunished - 25 November 2011.

Intimidation continues from the violent suck-ups to imperial greed who are so asleep that nothing seems to awaken them. They assume they are defining order when they are the pawns that are firstly abused. This abuse is then turned on the innocent excusably to hide the fact the constitution has become toilet paper.

Thanksgiving Hypocrisy

Thanksgiving Hypocrisy by Stephen Lendman

On November 25, 2009, a New York Times editorial headlined, “A Thanksgiving Toast,” saying Sitting down with friends and family today, there will be thanks for the steady currents, flowing out of the past, that have brought us to this table….And there will be prayerful thanks for the future.”

Fact check

At a time when federal, state and local authorities increasingly turn a blind eye to growing poverty, unemployment, homelessness, hunger and despair, Times editors gave thanks for their blessings others lack.
They also ignored multiple imperial wars slaughtering millions, and draining trillions of dollars needed for vital homeland needs.

What else to expect from America’s leading establishment broadsheet, serving wealth and power, not popular interests.

Its current Thanksgiving topics include:
  • holiday football matchups;
  • “Thanksgiving Thrift: The Holiday as a Model for Sustainable Cooking;”
  • “Vegetarian Thanksgiving: Tipsy Vegan Recipes;”
  • “A Radical Rethinking of Thanksgiving Leftovers;”
  • “Thanksgiving and Wine in the Willamette Valley;” and
  • other food and dining out topics.
Nothing substantive was discussed, including holiday myths, traditions, duress most people face, corporate crime, government culpability, and America’s out-of-control militarism and imperial wars.

Last Thanksgiving, a Washington Post editorial also fell short headlined, “Thanksgiving’s unchanging appeal,” saying:

“In a rough and challenging time, inhabitants of this land – including different peoples not always trusting of one another – come together to give thanks and perhaps to replenish their hopes of better, safer times to come.”

How can they when those in power and America’s media don’t care? A year later, things are worse, not better, and the worst is yet to come with planned austerity cuts hurting millions needing help.

Indifferent WP editors instead said we’re “fortunate to be alive and fed and sheltered, and the proper response to our good fortune is not self-satisfaction but gratitude.”

It’s hard comprehending such dismissive thinking given deepening social distress. At the same time, last Thanksgiving, corporations reported record third quarter profits because payrolls were cut, part-time and temp jobs replaced higher paying/good benefit full-time ones, and current staff had to work harder for less.

They still do.

Rich folks never had it better. Millions of poor ones are lucky to have a roof over their heads and enough food for family members. Many don’t. Growing numbers are one paycheck from unemployment, impoverishment, and perhaps homelessness – without essential safety net protections unavailable to many across America in need.

Major media scoundrels don’t notice or care. No wonder federal, state and local authorities get away with crimes against humanity.

In America, Thanksgiving is celebrated on November’s fourth Thursday to give thanks for the year’s blessings and bounty. At least that’s how it began. It’s not current practice.

Most people defile its spirit in how they spend it, including overindulgent eating, parades, “can’t miss” football, and start of Christmas shopping.

It begins Thanksgiving Friday, reflecting an orgy of consumerism, continuing through Christmas eve, ebbing for a day, then building for a celebratory new year’s welcome with more overindulgent eating, drinking, partying, and binge-shopping for nonessentials.

Thanksgiving, like other holidays, is replete with myths and misconceptions. Children are told Pilgrims invited Native Americans to share their bounty in brotherhood and friendship.

In fact, Pilgrims had nothing to do with traditional Thanksgiving. Native Indians originated it, observing fall harvest celebrations centuries before settlers arrived.

While George Washington had days for national thanksgiving, modern holiday celebrations date from 1863 when Abraham Lincoln tried boosting Union Army morale and patriotic fervor.

As a result, he proclaimed a national Thanksgiving holiday for the first time. Pilgrims had nothing to do with it.
The term Pilgrim originated in the 1870s. So much for tradition that’s pure myth.

Government officials also use Thanksgiving to promote the illusion of US exceptionalism, moral and cultural superiority, and belief that God made Americans special like Zionist ideologues calls Jews “the chosen people.”

It’s a short leap from these views to judging others inferior, especially those ranked low in the racial, religious, ethnic or cultural pecking order. Blacks and Latinos are always marginalized. Today, America uses fear to wage war on Islam as public enemy number one.

Thanksgiving also has religious significance when Judeo/Christian traditions are dominant at a time separating church and state is weak, and endangered if Christian fascists gain power.

America was founded as a secular state. The Constitution’s First Amendment affirms religious freedom. In 1802, Jefferson called for a  ”wall of separation” between church and state. Earlier Supreme Courts agreed.
They ruled separation essential to prevent institutionalizing state religion and government embracing its trappings or expressions. That’s threatened if right wing ideologues gain power.

They were dominant under Reagan and GW Bush. They never went away and lurk menacingly. They tried but didn’t pass the 2004 and 2005 Constitution Restitution Act to have America governed theocratically.
Dominionists and their followers want church and state separation ended, Christian dogma enforced, and nonbelievers branded heretics.

Extremist ideologues like Pat Robertson, James Dobson and John Hagee embrace racial hatred, white Christian supremacy, blind adoration of leaders, male gender dominance, fanatical support for Israel, LGBT hatred, disdain for non-believers and intellectual inquiry, opposition to abortion but support for capital punishment, ending government involvement in all social services, predatory capitalism, and militarism, war and apocalyptic violence.

Under them, Thanksgiving might mandate observing Christian rituals, even for non-Christians. As now celebrated, it’s already shameful. A combination of overindulgence, partying and consumerism dismiss major world and national problems too grave to ignore.

Political Washington deserves much of the blame, ravaging the world and playing fast and loose at home. Countries are being destroyed, occupied and plundered. Constitutional rights are being lost. Police state repression’s increasing, including a total surveillance society and cops beating up on peaceful protesters.
At a time of growing poverty, unemployment and despair, millions now rage nationwide with good reason.

They’ll give thanks when:
  • social injustice ends;
  • corporate crooks are punished;
  • too-big-to-fail banks are shuttered;
  • money power returns to public hands where it belongs;
  • real elections end duopoly power;
  • law principles apply to everyone;
  • equity and justice replace capital’s divine right;
  • wealth and opportunities are equally distributed; and
  • direct democracy replaces today’s fake kind, giving “we the people” real meaning.
Until then, use Thanksgiving for reflection, atonement and activism for change. Street protests should replace feasting, football, and other fun and games.

Family gatherings should commit to work together and enlist others for social justice, peace, environmental sanity, and government of, by and for everyone.

America’s now a dirty word. Illusion obscures reality. War and grand theft reflect state policy. No one’s safe anywhere at home or abroad. Humanity itself is threatened.

Hold giving thanks and get active to give it real meaning with enough commitment to make it happen.

There’s no other choice! The alternative’s too dire to accept! Believe it!

25 Bitter And Painful Facts About The Coming Baby Boomer Retirement Crisis That Will Blow Your Mind

© americancity.org
25 Bitter And Painful Facts About The Coming Baby Boomer Retirement Crisis That Will Blow Your Mind by Michael Snyder

For decades we were warned that when the Baby Boomers started to retire that this country would be facing a retirement crisis of unprecedented magnitude.  Well, that day has arrived ladies and gentlemen.  Back on January 1st, the Baby Boomers began to retire and more than 10,000 of them will be retiring every single day for years to come.  Most of them have not saved up nearly enough money for retirement.  At the same time, private sector pension plans are failing all over the place, hundreds of state and local government pension plans from coast to coast are woefully underfunded, and the Social Security system is on the road to complete and total disaster.  A massive wave of humanity is hitting retirement age at a moment in history when the U.S. economy is coming apart at the seams.  We do not have the resources to keep the promises that we made to the Baby Boomers, and most of them have not made adequate preparations for retirement.  What we have is a gigantic mess on our hands, and millions of Baby Boomers are going to find retirement to be very bitter and very painful.

A lot of younger Americans just assume that Social Security is enough to take care of the needs of elderly Americans.  But that is just not the case.

Have you ever tried to live solely on a Social Security check?

It is not easy.  The truth is that those checks are just not that large.

The following comes directly from the Social Security Administration....
The average monthly Social Security benefit for a retired worker was about $1,177 at the beginning of 2011.
Could you live on less than 300 dollars a week?

And keep in mind that the $1,177 monthly figure is just an average.  Many receive a lot less than that.
In addition, Social Security benefits have been seriously squeezed by inflation in recent years.  The cost of food and other basics has risen briskly and Social Security benefits have not.

Today, many elderly Americans have to make a choice between buying food, heating their homes or buying medicine that they need.  They simply do not have enough money to do all of them.

It would have been nice if all of the Baby Boomers had been busy saving money for retirement all these years, but that just did not happen.  In fact, the Baby Boomers as a group are trillions of dollars short of what they need for retirement.

So why doesn't the U.S. government step in to help them out?

Well, the reality of the situation is that the U.S. government is flat broke.  The federal government is now over 15 trillion dollars in debt.  During the Obama administration so far, the U.S. government has accumulated more new debt than it did from the time that George Washington took office to the time that Bill Clinton took office.

Lawmakers are already looking at ways to make the Social Security program less costly.  No, the federal government is not going to be riding to the rescue.

In fact, it will be a minor miracle if the Social Security program is able to survive until the end of this decade, and it will be a major miracle if the Social Security program is able to survive until 2030.
As for myself, I do not believe that I will ever see a single penny from Social Security, and many other working age Americans feel the same way.

Retirement is supposed to be a fun time, but sadly most Americans that are approaching retirement age are not going to have any "golden years" to look forward to.

Rather, millions of elderly Americans are going to find the years ahead absolutely agonizing as they struggle just to survive.

The following are 25 bitter and painful facts about the coming Baby Boomer retirement crisis that will blow your mind....

#1 According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute, 46 percent of all American workers have less than $10,000 saved for retirement, and 29 percent of all American workers have less than $1,000 saved for retirement.

#2 According to a recent poll conducted by Americans for Secure Retirement, 88 percent of all Americans are worried about "maintaining a comfortable standard of living in retirement".  Last year, that figure was at 73 percent.

#3 A study conducted by Boston College's Center for Retirement Research has found that American workers are $6.6 trillion short of what they need to retire comfortably.

#4 Today, one out of every six elderly Americans lives below the federal poverty line.

#5 On January 1st, 2011 the very first Baby Boomers started to retire.  For almost the next 20 years, more than 10,000 Baby Boomers will be retiring every single day.

#6 At the moment, only about 13 percent of all Americans are 65 years of age or older.  By 2030, that number will soar to 18 percent.

#7 Right now, there are somewhere around 40 million senior citizens.  By 2050 that number is projected to increase to 89 million.

#8 Back in 1991, half of all American workers planned to retire before they reached the age of 65.  Today, that number has declined to 23 percent.

#9 According to one recent survey, 74 percent of American workers expect to continue working once they are "retired".

#10 According to a recent AARP survey of Baby Boomers, 40 percent of them plan to work "until they drop".

#11 A poll conducted by CESI Debt Solutions found that 56 percent of American retirees still had outstanding debts when they retired.

#12 A study by a law professor at the University of Michigan found that Americans that are 55 years of age or older now account for 20 percent of all bankruptcies in the United States.  Back in 2001, they only accounted for 12 percent of all bankruptcies.

#13 Between 1991 and 2007 the number of Americans between the ages of 65 and 74 that filed for bankruptcy rose by a staggering 178 percent.

#14 What is causing most of these bankruptcies among the elderly?  The number one cause is medical bills.  According to a report published in The American Journal of Medicine, medical bills are a major factor in more than 60 percent of the personal bankruptcies in the United States.  Of those bankruptcies that were caused by medical bills, approximately 75 percent of them involved individuals that actually did have health insurance.

#15 Public retirement funds all over the United States are woefully underfunded.  For example, it has been reported that the $33.7 billion Illinois Teachers Retirement System is 61% underfunded and is on the verge of complete collapse.

#16 Most U.S. states have huge pension obligations which threaten to bankrupt them.  For example, pension consultant Girard Miller told California's Little Hoover Commission that state and local government bodies in the state of California have $325 billion in combined unfunded pension liabilities.  When you break that down, it comes to $22,000 for every single working adult in the state of California.

#17 Robert Novy-Marx of the University of Chicago and Joshua D. Rauh of Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management have calculated the combined pension liability for all 50 U.S. states.  What they found was that the 50 states are collectively facing $5.17 trillion in pension obligations, but they only have $1.94 trillion set aside in state pension funds.  That is a difference of 3.2 trillion dollars.  So where in the world is all of that extra money going to come from?

#18 According to the Congressional Budget Office, the Social Security system paid out more in benefits than it received in payroll taxes in 2010.  That was not supposed to happen until at least 2016.  Sadly, in the years ahead these "Social Security deficits" are scheduled to become absolutely nightmarish as hordes of Baby Boomers retire.

#19 In 1950, each retiree's Social Security benefit was paid for by 16 U.S. workers.  According to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are now only 1.75 full-time private sector workers for each person that is receiving Social Security benefits in the United States.

#20 The U.S. government now says that the Medicare trust fund will run out five years faster than they were projecting just last year.

#21 The total cost of just three federal government programs - the Department of Defense, Social Security and Medicare - exceeded the total amount of taxes brought in during fiscal 2010 by 10 billion dollars.  In the years ahead expenses related to Social Security and Medicare are projected to skyrocket dramatically.

#22 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is the agency of the federal government that pays monthly retirement benefits to hundreds of thousands of retirees that were covered under defined benefit pension plans that failed.  The retirement crisis has barely even begun and the PBGC is already dead broke.  The PBGC says that it ran a deficit of $26 billion during the fiscal year that just ended and that it will probably need a huge bailout from the federal government.

#23 According to a survey by careerbuilder.com, 36 percent of all Americans say that they don't contribute anything at all to retirement savings.

#24 More than 30 percent of all investors in the United States that are currently in their sixties have more than 80 percent of their 401k plans invested in equities.  So what is going to happen to them if the stock market crashes?

#25 A survey taken earlier this year found that 20 percent of all U.S. workers admitted that they had postponed their planned retirement age at least once during the last 12 months.  Back in 2008, that number was only at 14 percent.

Our politicians should have addressed the retirement crisis decades ago before we got to the point of being in debt up to our eyeballs.

It is being projected that the U.S. national debt will hit 344% of GDP by the year 2050, and the Congressional Budget Office says that U.S. government debt held by the public will reach a staggering 716% of GDP by the year 2080.

Obviously those figures will never be reached because our financial system would totally collapse long before then.

So what do we do?

We have tens of millions of elderly Americans that are completely and totally dependent on Social Security and Medicare, but those programs also threaten to bankrupt us as a nation.

Anyone that believes that there is a "quick fix" to these issues is being naive.

The "supercommittee" was supposed to address this problem, but they failed so spectacularly that they have become a national joke.

Sadly, most of our politicians just keep kicking the can down the road.  They hope that somehow things will just magically "work out".

Well, the truth is that things are not going to "work out".  The poverty level among the elderly is going to continue to increase.  Pension plans all over this nation are going to continue to fail in staggering numbers.  Social Security and Medicare are going to bleed more red ink with each passing year.

Something should have been done about this problem a long, long time ago.

But it wasn't.

This crisis was ignored, dealing with it was put off time after time and all the doomsayers were laughed at.
Now the crisis is here, and we are all going to pay the price.

Our Last Chance to Speak Up

Editor comment:

It may be true that Israel may kill us all with the endless ideal rhetoric of war and hate. Russia has recently warned both the U.S. and Israel (sic) that attacking Iran is senseless. They are also preparing for nuclear war by targeting the provactive missile defense shield that has been propagated at the expense of neighboring countries that would suffer the inept consequences of the hegemony. It may be that their lust for economical greed is a matter of control or economic threat.

There are even notions that half of the American public would support starting another war assuming they would not be affected but this propaganda seems far-fetched, espescially in light of the serious nature of another major war both ecomonically and socially. As a matter of fact, much of the American public just needs to wake up to the realization we could work together and recompensate our American roots and put a stop to the Zionist influences which now preside.

Another war is not the answer and could easily lead to a total loss, not to mention the current ecomonic theif that most Americans agrees has not been dealt with appropriately, a major point of the ongoing Occupy Movement.

Suggestions are being made to begin building bridges in the consensus of the 99% of people who pay taxes and work for an honest living in our country. At some point, the rhetoric must be rooted in truth, or our world will be lost in the next fire.
"An ideal is merely an escape, an avoidance of what is, a contradiction of what is. An ideal prevents direct action upon what is. To have peace, we will have to love, we will have to begin not to live an ideal life, but to see things as they are and act upon them, Transform them." - J. Krishnamurti

Time to Test Corporate Leaders to Weed out Psychopaths

One per cent of humans: Not murderously insane,
just devoid of empathy and ultimately destructive.
November 21, 2011: Time to Test Corporate Leaders to Weed out Psychopaths by Mitchell Anderson

Shark-like, they rise fast but risk killing the world economy, concludes a business professor.

Given the state of the global economy, it might not surprise you to learn that psychopaths may be controlling the world. Not violent criminals, but corporate psychopaths who nonetheless have a genetically-inherited biochemical condition that prevents them from feeling normal human empathy.

Scientific research is revealing that 21st century financial institutions with a high rate of turnover and expanding global power have become highly attractive to psychopathic individuals to enrich themselves at the expense of others, and the companies they work for.

A peer-reviewed theoretical paper from 2011 titled "The Corporate Psychopaths Theory of the Global Financial Crisis" details how highly-placed psychopaths in the banking sector may have nearly brought down the world economy through their own inherent inability to care about the consequences of their actions.

The author of this paper, Clive Boddy, previously of Nottingham Trent University, believes this theory would go a long way to explain how senior managers acted in ways that were disastrous for the institutions they worked for, the investors they represented and the global economy at large.

If true, this also means the astronomically expensive public bailouts will not solve the problem since many of the morally impaired individuals who caused this mess likely remain in positions of power. Worse, they may be the same people advising governments on how to resolve this crisis.

To tackle this problem, we must instead examine this rare and curious condition, and why recent corporate history may have elevated precisely the wrong type of people to positions of great power and public trust.

Unfeeling, but not insane

Psychopathy should not be confused with insanity. It is best described by Robert Hare, global expert and psychologist, as "emotional deafness" -- a biochemical inability to experience normal feelings of empathy for others.

This shark-like fixation on self-interest means that psychopaths often feel a clear detachment from other people, viewing them more as sheep to be preyed upon than fellow humans to relate to. For instance, psychopaths in prison often use group therapy sessions not as a healing process, but as an opportunity to learn how to simulate normal human emotions.

Studies on twins have revealed that psychopathy shows a strong genetic signature and there remains no effective treatment. Recent research has linked the condition to physical abnormalities in the amygdala region of the brain.

Only a small subset of psychopaths become the violent criminals so often fictionalized in film. Most simply seek to blend in and conceal their difference in order to more effectively manipulate others. This frightening condition has existed throughout human history, though likely in a marginal and socially parasitic way.

While psychopaths are often portrayed by Hollywood as brilliantly clever, a hypothetical race of Hannibal Lecters would likely perish since they lack the ability to trust each other. Put another way, the human race -- a relatively weak, slow, hairless tropical primate -- has succeeded so spectacularly in every ecosystem on the planet not because we are so bad, but because we are so good.

Most dangerous one per cent

The human ability to build social capital means that people can co-operate and trust each other. We can reliably predict the behaviour of others even if we have never met them. Social capital is the glue that holds together our communities, complex societies, large institutions and the economy. The one and only superpower possessed by psychopaths is their ruthless ability to spend the social capital created by others.

Scientists believe about one per cent of the general population is psychopathic, meaning there are more than three million moral monsters amongst normal United States citizens. There is emerging evidence that this frequency increases within the upper management of modern corporations. This is not surprising since personal ruthlessness and fixation on personal power have become seen as strong assets to large publicly traded corporations (which some authors believe have also become psychopathic).

However, appearance and performance are two different things. While psychopaths are often outwardly charming and excellent self-promoters, they are also typically terrible managers, bullying co-workers and creating chaos to conceal their behaviour.

When employed in senior levels, their pathology also means they are biochemically incapable of something they are legally required to do: act in good faith on behalf of other people. The banking and corporate sector is built on the ancient principle of fiduciary duty -- a legal obligation to act in the best interest of those whose money or property you are entrusted with. Asking a psychopath to do that is like recruiting a pyromaniac to be a firefighter.

The folly of mixing psychopathy and senior corporate management has been borne out by recent history. At the end of the last decade, numerous banking institutions representing hundreds of years of corporate financial stability ceased to exist within a few short months due to the reckless acts of a few individuals -- none of whom have ever been charged with a crime.

And therein lies the rub. As ruthless as psychopaths are, their pathology dictates that they will ultimately act to the detriment of the organizations and investors they are paid so well to represent.

Fertile for pyschopaths: New corporate culture

If this theory is correct, how did this become such a crisis in recent decades? Boddy suggests that corporations have changed from relatively stable institutions where psychopaths would have a difficult time concealing themselves, to highly fluid organizations where it is much easier for them to disappear within the chaos in their wake.

(The) whole corporate and employment environment changed from one that would hold the Corporate Psychopath in check to one where they could flourish and advance relatively unopposed," Boddy writes. "As evidence of this, senior level remuneration and reward started to increase more and more rapidly and beyond all proportion to shop floor incomes and a culture of greed unfettered by conscience developed. Corporate Psychopaths are ideally situated to prey on such an environment and corporate fraud, financial misrepresentation, greed and misbehaviour went through the roof, bringing down huge companies and culminating in the Global Financial Crisis that we are now in."

Boddy is not hopeful that the current round of expensive public bailouts will solve the problem. If psychopaths have in fact installed themselves in the upper reaches of the world's financial institutions, their genetic deficiency dictates that their greed knows no bounds. They will continue to act in antisocial, remorseless ways, amplified by their enormous corporate influence until the institutions they represent and perhaps the entire global economy collapses. Obviously, more academic research in this area is urgently needed.

Boddy concludes his recent paper with this grim prediction:
"Writing in 2005, this author... predicted that the rise of Corporate Psychopaths was a recipe for corporate and societal disaster. This disaster has now happened and is still happening. Across the western world, the symptoms of the financial crisis are now being treated. However, this treatment of the symptoms will have little effect because the root cause is not being addressed. The very same Corporate Psychopaths, who probably caused the crisis by their self-seeking greed and avarice, are now advising governments on how to get out of the crisis. That this involves paying themselves vast bonuses in the midst of financial hardship for many millions of others is symptomatic of the problem. Further, if (this theory is correct) then we are now far from the end of the crisis. Indeed, it is only the end of the beginning. Perhaps more than ever before, the world needs corporate leaders with a conscience.... Measures exist to identify Corporate Psychopaths. Perhaps it is time to use them."
Time has come for testing

Boddy's last statement contains a kernel of hope. If our world has become chaotic due to institutionalized psychopathy, imagine how much better it could be if such dangerously impaired individuals were excluded from positions of power and influence.

Precedence exists for dealing with such situations. Randomized workplace drug testing became the norm in the 1980s. At the time, civil libertarians strongly objected on the basis that it violated personal privacy protections. However, the U.S. Supreme Court decided in 1989 that such testing was constitutional and now about 25 per cent of Fortune 500 companies routinely require their employees to submit to such tests.

Perhaps investors at major financial institutions should require that senior level managers submit to established tests to ensure they are not psychopathic. This is not an issue of civil liberties since the precedent has already been well established regarding drug impairment in the workplace. Likewise, it is not a regulatory issue since private shareholders have every right to demand that executives demonstrate they are not biochemically impaired and therefore unable to carry out their fiduciary duties on behalf of investors. If corporate boards are hiring psychopaths as executive management, they are not carrying out their due diligence and could be held legally liable for their oversight.

Companies should also consider providing employees with specific whistleblower provisions to expose potential psychopaths in the workplace. A 2010 study by Boddy showed that corporate psychopaths caused more than one quarter of all workplace bullying, though they accounted for only one per cent of the workforce.

Besides being traumatic and humiliating to other workers, this bullying is also very expensive. Boddy calculated that bullying by corporate psychopaths cost companies in the U.K. more than £3.5 billion per year in lost productivity and attrition. Extrapolating these results to the United States, these deviant individuals are responsible for more than $35 billion in direct annual losses to U.S. businesses.

Politicians, too?

And what about elected officials? There is no higher standard of trust in our society than standing for public office. Campaigning politicians are expected to submit to almost absurd levels of scrutiny about their private lives, character and personal relationships. Should not candidates begin providing voters proof that they are medically capable of acting in the interests of the public that may elect them?

The Occupy Wall Street protesters demanding an end to the reign of the "one per cent" may have unwittingly stumbled on the crux of the issue. Science tells us that 99 per cent of humans have normal emotional function. One per cent are psychopaths. We ignore that truth at our peril. Source URL

JFK 2-The George H. W. Bush Connection-Full Length Documentary

JFK 2-The George H. W. Bush Connection-Full Length Documentary

JFK2 - The sequel to Oliver Stone's JFK, you won't see in the cinema. A thoroughly documented criminal indictment establishing beyond a reasonable doubt the guilt of George H.W. Bush as a supervisor in the conspiracy to assassinate John Kennedy. The evidence relies primarily on government documents and public records. The center piece of the evidence is a memo entitled "Assassination of President John F. Kennedy", signed by J Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI, 5 days after the assassination, which names Bush as a supervisor of CIA-trained assassins. Another FBI memo establishes Bush's presence in the Dallas area at the time of the assassination. These memos are corroborated extensively with details from Bush's own official history of his life (also known as JFK 2 Part 1).

www.democracynow.org - American "vulture" investors, including a top funder of the Republican Party, have demanded that African nations pay over half a billion dollars for old debts -- for which the investors paid only a few million. One New York vulture speculator, Peter Grossman of FG Capital Management, is demanding $100 million from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Is he collecting a legitimate debt from the Congo — or is the vulture's claim based on a stolen security? MF Global - 1.2 BILLION Missing from Clients accounts - yet NO One has been arrested or accused of Stealing!? - BlacklistedNews.com

This is what the Occupy Movement is about!  There is one set of laws for us normal folks compared to banks and corporations!

This  is so unbelievable and it is hard to understand how it is possible.  How is it the most blatant stealing of money by a Wall Street Broker out of it's clients accounts and there have been no arrest or charges filed against anyone?

It is being found 1.2 Billion has been stolen from people's accounts at MF Global, not 600 Million!

portions from above:

The amount of customer money missing from the collapsed trading firm MF Global may be more than $1.2 billion — double previous estimates — the trustee dismantling the firm’s brokerage unit said on Monday.
Regulators currently suspect that MF Global — at the time run by Jon S. Corzine, the former Democratic governor of New Jersey — improperly used customer money for its own purposes in the days before filing for Chapter 11 protection on Oct. 31.

Investigators are considering two possible situations. One is that MF Global used the money to meet trading partners’ demands for extra cash, which could come back. The other is that it was used to cover trading losses, which would mean that the money cannot be recovered.

No one at MF Global, including its former chief executive, Mr. Corzine, has been accused of wrongdoing.

Representatives for MF Global, the CME and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission declined to comment.
______________________________________________________________

I wrote about MF Global - in detailing who they are and who the board of directors are.  It is everything about MF Global

I also wrote about the Bankruptcy judge giving them 8 million to keep them going.

If anyone questions Main Stream Media and them being controlled by the banks and corporations, you need not question it anymore.  There has been no mention of MF Global and their stealing of clients money since Oct. 31st and the filing of bankruptcy.  CNBC has mentioned it as they have to,  they are a financial network.

Most people do not even know about MF Global as the networks have not said a single word about it.

From the fact MSM is ignoring MF Global, proves it is big news and the media is completely controlled, they are not actual news networks but propaganda networks.  Otherwise they would be giving people the real news that affects them.

It seems they are afraid people would get smart and realize Wall Street has been given the green light to blatantly steal money out of people's accounts and are not held accountable for it.

If I went to the bank and stole One Dollar out of someone's account, I would be charged with a Felony and thrown in jail!  BUT a Wall Street broker can literally STEAL 1.2 Billion and NO One is arrested or charged with theft?!

This is WHY I support the Occupy Movement!

No press freedom for OWS coverage?

No press freedom for OWS coverage? - RT

Since the Occupy Wall Street movement began, 26 reporters have been arrested while covering the movement and 13 of those reporters were arrested last week in New York City. According to many journalists, law enforcement is blocking access completely to some of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations nationwide and reports of NYPD ripping press passes from journalists' necks have surfaced. Josh Stearns, associate program director of Free Press, helps us understand why the press is being suppressed.

Jose Pimentel - 'Lone Wolf' - Scare Tactics To Distract From The 'Occupy' Movement by Joe Quinn

So a 'lone wolf' 'home-grown terrorist' has been apprehended, in the nick of time, by the FBI and NYC cops. Or so the story goes. The problem is, we've heard this one before, many times. Jose Pimentel, like so many others alleged 'jihadis' before him, is undoubtedly the victim of yet another FBI sting operation rather than a dangerous terrorist. FBI sting operation? "What's that?" I hear you ask. Well, in case you've fallen victim to the 10-year-long 'war on terror' government and media mind-job, allow me to explain, or rather, allow me to point you to some fairly reliable sources.

Trevor Aaronson is a Fellow of the Investigative Reporting Program at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. In August 2011, Aaronson published the results of his investigation into how the FBI runs a network of informants in Muslim communities in the USA. Aaronson's mulltimedia investigation, which includes an 8,000-word cover story and the first and only publicly searchable, online, interactive database of more than 500 federal terrorism prosecutions since 9/11, is aptly titled "The Informants". Among the investigation's key findings:

- The FBI has 15,000 registered informants, many of them keeping watch on Muslim communities. Today, the FBI has nearly three times as many informants as it had 25 years ago.

- Of more than 500 federal terrorism prosecutions since 9/11, nearly half involved the use of an informant - many of them motivated by money or the need to work off criminal or immigration violations.

- Sting operations resulted in prosecutions against 158 defendants. Of that total, 49 defendants participated in plots led by an "agent provocateur" - an aggressive FBI operative who provoked the targets into committing their alleged terrorist acts.

- The FBI often uses the threat of deportation, as well as other forms of leverage, to win cooperation from informants.

The report reveals that in many of the stings, important meetings between informants and the unknowing participants are left purposely unrecorded, so as to avoid any entrapment charges that could cause the case to be dismissed.

Martin Stolar, who represented a suspect involved in a New York City bombing plot which was set-up by FBI agents, said that:
"The problem with the cases we're talking about is that defendants would not have done anything if not kicked in the ass by government agents; they're creating crimes to solve crimes so they can claim a victory in the war on terror."
But there's another obvious question here, which is, what is the difference between an FBI informant and a 'lone wolf terrorist'? The answer is, nothing. The 'lone wolf' is simply the informant's informant and is being manipulated by him (on behalf of the FBI and usually with money), in exactly the same way as the first informant. The only real difference is in the propaganda potential. The first informant remains unknown, the second is the patsy, dragged out at the appointed or appropriate time to pose as the 'lone wolf terrorist' du jour to serve the agenda of the psychopathic terror masterminds in the CIA, Mossad, MI5/6 etc.
